ABOUT

Project Night Night donates over 25,000 Night Night packages each year to homeless children who need childhood essentials to have a concrete and predictable source of security and an increased exposure to high-quality literacy materials during their time of upheaval. Each Night Night package contains a new security blanket, a new age-appropriate children's book, a new pair of pajama's and a new stuffed animal - all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children we serve.

Every child who receives one of our Night Night Packages leaves the shelter owning a book which encourages reading and family bonding, a security blanket which can be cuddled, a warm pair of pajamas, and a stuffed animal which can become a cherished friend. We have one objective - to deliver our Night Night Packages to every homeless child in the country who needs one.

Krisha Zito, from Wrentham, MA, serves as a local volunteer in running this locally.

Shop Until You Drop!

Kidding, but seriously...don't forget to drop off your items by the due date! For each child you sponsor, you are responsible for providing all four items for that child. Please do not buy items that are Christmas or Hanukkah (or anything similar) related as not all children celebrate these holidays and these children will use these items well beyond the holidays

  • NEW Pajamas

  • NEW Age appropriate book

  • NEW Warm blanket

  • NEW Stuffed animal for children under 16. If child is 16 or older, please consider warm fuzzy socks as an additional item

  • All items MUST be NEW and tags should remain on all items. Recommendations and tips are below.

  • See Shopping Recommendations further down. â€‹â€‹

Sign up for individual children using the sign up link on this page. You will add the children to your "cart' and checkout. This helps ensure each child is accounted for.  You are more than welcome to sign up for multiple children, but please remember you are responsible for getting all the items for the child.

Drop Items Off

You can then drop bag/s off at Krisha's house (95 Riverside Drive, Wrentham). If shipping directly to me, add a gift receipt to all purchases and provide the same information noted below. Once you have all items, place them in a bag and label that bag with:

  1. Your name

  2. Child's name that you sponsored

  3. Name of shelter

If sponsoring multiple children, please use separate bags for each child and label appropriately.

Organize & Drop Off

If you are interested in helping out with organizing the donations and getting them to the shelters, please contact Krisha Zito.

SHOPPING RECOMMENDATIONS

Pajamas

Pajama's: warm fleece pajamas are highly recommended. These shelters are cold! Warm fleece feety pajamas are best for the younger ones. Older kids, we recommend fleece bottoms, a long sleeve top and warm fuzzy socks

Stuffed Animals

The bags we place all items in are NOT large. Please keep that in mind when shopping for stuffed animals. Squishmallows are awesome as they are easy to stuff in the bags and are SO cozy for the children

Blankets

Warm blankets are a must. The infant swaddle blankets (the thin ones) are not what we are looking for. Think warm, thick, fleece. For the older kids, a large warm/fleece blanket is perfect. They likely will not fit in the bag, but we have been tying them on the outside of the bag and it works well.

Books

Age appropriate. Here is a resource if you need some guidance on age appropriate books.
